About the Frogs
Welcome to the Forest Hill FROGS!
All member children ages 5-18 are invited to join the Forest Hill Swim Team. The Forest Hill Swim Team is a member of the Central Maryland Swim League (CMSL), in Division 1. The Frogs are the defending league champions! The Frogs have been a force in the water since the early '70s.
We are a competitive summer program offering professional coaching and technical instruction for all of our swimmers. Our goal is to provide every member an opportunity to improve their swimming skills and achieve success from novice to international competitor.
In recent years, we have had nearly 250 swimmers on the team. Practices are structured for all swimmers to receive group instruction, with little time for individual instruction. We will work on stroke mechanics as a group, teaching the competitive strokes through drills. Swim team is not a substitute for swim lessons.
Swimmers should be able to swim at least half the length of the pool before they join the team, and must be able to swim the entire length of the pool without hanging on the side or a lane line by time trials to continue participation on the Swim Team. Please consult with Coach Sarah if you have questions about your child being able to swim; additionally children younger than 5 may join the team if they are able (and willing) to swim across the pool.
The 2026 Swim Meet Schedule includes 2 home meets and 3 away meets. Please see the Schedule tab for specific dates and locations.
REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 1
Registration will be done online only again this year, with payment by credit card.
Your registration fee includes AAU Registration (which the team will process), a team shirt, silicone swim cap, meet entry fees and numerous pep rallies throughout the summer.
Please note that all swimmers must be members of the team and registered with AAU before they can begin participating in practices or meets. For this reason, we cannot offer "trial periods"; those registering after the beginning of the season should confirm with the team manager that they have been confirmed with AAU.
To guarantee a team t-shirt, you must be signed up by MAY 26. Shirts should be available by time trials. There is also the option to purchase additional team shirts for non-swimmers the registration process. This does not replace our normal spirit wear - we will also offer a great selection of apparel for parents and kids.
Registration cost per swimmer this year is $190 with early bird, and $210 starting May 15. A $20 sibling discount is also available.
